AFSMI Announces Staff Changes


Executive Director and Executive Vice President of Global Research Retire, New Resources Assigned

Today, the Association for Services Management International (AFSMI) is announcing the retirement of John Schoenewald, executive director, and Pim Bonsel, Executive Vice President of Global Research. Both executives have enjoyed extended careers with AFMSI and each has made significant contributions to the development of the association.

A tribute to Pim will be held as part of the Technology Services to attend the AFSMI dinner on April 3rd to celebrate Pim’s contributions and wish him well in his retirement. A separate celebration for John Schoenewald will be held in Las Vegas during the AFSMI S-Business World Conference in October. We hope you will plan to join us in celebrating their many contributions.

To continue John and Pim’s legacy of commitment to members, AFSMI announces some additions to its staff. JB Wood will continue as CEO and President and will take over the responsibilities of the executive director position. Thomas Lah, executive director of TPSA, will also fill a new role as senior vice president of research. Thomas will lead an impressive team of services research experts that includes; Bill Rose, founder of SSPA, Bo DiMuccio, formerly with IDC research, and John Ragsdale, formerly with Forrester research. This expanded team has developed a full research agenda for AFSMI for 2008. Finally, AFSMI announced the addition of Denise Villamil as the director of member programs, focusing on supporting AFSMI chapters and member programs.
