AFSMI Research

Research on key services topics is one of the most important benefits AFSMI offers members. AFSMI research is unique because our research topics are based on member needs and because our research results incorporate the collective experience of the AFSMI membership, worldwide.

AFSMI research, as with other member programs, is customized to address the needs of our two categories of membership; Individual and Corporate.

Both categories of research include two types of content:

  • Expert Content – AFSMI maintains a network of consultants, authors and other subject matter experts who submit their insights and information to AFSMI for publication to the AFSMI membership.  Selected articles, research reports, white papers from across the industry are reviewed by AFSMI’s research staff and selected based on member needs and requests.  Expert content is published through the AFSMI website and our print and electronic publications.
  • Original Research – AFSMI also conducts original research on the most critical issues facing our members. The standard AFSMI research methodology includes the formation of an industry task force to help frame and clarify the research topic and to share best practices in the area of study among members. In conjunction with the industry task force, AFSMI may also conduct primary or secondary research to supplement the information provided my members.

Results of AFSMI’s original research are published in Sbusiness, Newsline, here on the AFSMI website and may also be presented at our conferences and in our member webcasts.
